Q: Does it cost anything to join?

A: No, East Coast Shooters is FREE to join. In the future, there will be forums that can only be accessed by members who contribute a set donation to help maintain the site.

A: East Coast Shooters is a Website/Forum for gun and archery enthusiasts alike to come and help others who enjoy the same thing that they do....guns and bows.

Q: Who are you and what is your background?

Q: Can I upload my own avatars for my profile?

A: YES, you can. Currently, members can use a wide number of Avatars that I have pre-loaded on the site or they can use their own. Your avatar will be stored on my FTP site and is secure.

Q: Can I upload Graphics and video to my post?

A: Technically, yes. At the current time, only less than a handful of members can do this due to the fact they own their own business. I have a ton of file space but since I have been building the site, I have elected to not enable this feature just yet. This is possibly going to be allowed for those members who become team members and donate a pre-determined amount to help maintain the site.

Q: If I can't upload my graphics or files to your site, where can I do this?

A: May I suggest PHOTOBUCKET.COM or Imageshack.com. Both of these sites are easy and free to join and you can copy the image codes from your photo and paste it into the post on the forum.

Q: Do you offer email addresses within your domain?

A: Again, Technically...YES. This will be something provided for paying members. If you choose to do so, your email will be: yourusername@eastcoastshooters.com

Q: Can I configure my current email client to retrieve my email from your site if I have an eastcoastshooters.com address?

A: Yes. When you sign up as a paying member and your email account is set up, I will, at that time, email you the configuration OR you can access your email by using webmail. (http://webmail.eastcoastshooters.com)

Q: Why are there some forums that I can't access?

A: East Coast Shooters owner works for a Law Enforcement Agency here in North Carolina. This being said, I felt the need to fellow Law Enforcement Employees, to allow them access to a section on the forum to discuss anything law enforcement related without those that do not have a need to know, to be able to view it. If you cannot see the forum, you do not have access so you wouldn't even know it was there unless someone else told you. There are also restricted parts of the forum that only vendors and advertisers have access to but members only are able to VIEW the site.

Q: I am Law Enforcement, how do I get access to the Law Enforcement section?

A: Contact me at admin@eastcoastshooters.com Once you contact me, I will email you back at the email address you sent it from with an attachment. This attachment will be a form that you can print and get signed by your Chief or Sheriff or their designee. Once that form is signed and dated, you will need to mail it to me at the address that I provide you with in the email. Once I receive it, I will contact your agency to verify the person who signed the document is who they say they are.  I have to assure that you are who you say you are. I know this is time consuming but I would rather be safe and sure than sorry later on down the road. If you are Law Enforcement, you should understand this.

Q: I work with you or you know me, do I still need to get this form signed?

A: If I know you and not know OF you, or you work with me, you will have access to the LE Only section immediately when you sign up and I approve your membership. No, you do not need to get the form signed. This is only for those that I do not know.
