If you are interested in obtaining your CCW Permit, let me mention a few things that may save you money and time.

 

CCW permit holders are not able to "carry a gun anywhere they want" unlike what many may think. CCW permit holders are prohibited from carrying a firearm into an establishment where alcohol is served and/or where admission is charged.

 

Also, if you are a convicted felon, you are not able to obtain your CCW Permit let alone a permit to purchase a gun. A convicted felon is prohibited from owning, possessing or having access to a firearm at anytime.

 

CCW permit holders are also looked at by Law Enforcement in a different way than that of a non-permit holding citizen. You are expected to know the laws of concealed carry and know when is the right time for you to draw your weapon.

 

Your instructor will explain all of this to you during your class as well as much more information.
